MedPlus, Inc. announced today that its shareholders, during the Company's annual meeting held October 18, 2001, voted to approve the previously announced merger of MedPlus with Quest Diagnostics Incorporated.

The closing of the merger, which remains subject to various customary conditions, has been tentatively scheduled for November 1, 2001. Following the closing, MedPlus will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics.
