UTICA -- The LaSalle hockey team gave it everything it had here Sunday, but it just wasn't enough.
The Cadets battled defending champion Clinton High of Section III for the state Division II title. LaSalle led after the first and second periods, but Clinton rallied in the third period to pull out a 6-5 victory.
``That was our best game of the year,'' LaSalle coach Tim Flanigan said. ``These kids gave 150 percent. It was one of the toughest hockey games I've ever seen. I can't ask for anything more, except maybe a break or two in the end.''
Clinton turned back LaSalle 6-1 in the state semifinals last year …
