VIC:BBQ hits dangerous snag

A man's suffered serius burns to both his legs and arm after he tried to use flammable
liquid to light a barbecue in Melbourne's north.

Metropolitan Fire Brigade operations commander MICHAEL SWIFT says the fire spread to
the attached garage of the single storey brick veneer home and then into the roof area
of the house in Mill Park.

The damage bill is expected to top 70-thousand dollars.
